A simple crumb to create finger-licking chicken!
How many times have you thought “what’s something creative to do with chicken?â€
Haha 😂 me too.
This is my current favourite crumb mix that I literally pat over a thigh and then cook in olive oil in a pan on the stove (cover the entire base of the pan with oil and don’t overheat the pan!)
It’s so simple to throw together and I usually always have leftover to keep for next time.
This is not a traditional ‘coat in flour, dip in egg and coat in crumb mixture’ method – it’s for when the chicken needs flavour and you don’t want that fuss. Just coat and fry!
There’s only four ingredients. One is a little random but you can find it at any health food store (not sure if it’s in the supermarket yet?). Nutritional yeast flakes look a bit like fish food 😉 but taste cheesy and they are one of my essential pantry staples.
Servings |
|
- 1 cup flour flour of choice, including gluten free flour
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
Ingredients
|
|
- Mix together all dry ingredients
- Coat chicken pieces with the mix (I used thigh)
- Cook in olive oil in a pan (cover the entire base of the pan with oil and don’t overheat!)
Enjoy! And let me know below if you try it.
