What We’re talking about

Oh the places we’ll go!

New passport arrived. Full of so much potential....

I love travelling. Airports are one of my favourite places.

I wonder where I’ll get to in the next ten years....

Do you like international travel? Got any plans or dreams to head away somewhere?

My hubby travels every year overseas for work, only once a year now but it used to be more! Always business class too 🙌🏼 I hear about the extra special seats and menu etc etc! I said to him before I die (only 38 so hopefully a long time away) I get to travel business class and he said! Let’s put on our bucket list a round the world business class trip!!!!! Who am I to argue with that! 😝👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼

Have been overseas every year for the past 10 years. Some big trips some small but once I'm back I am always planning and dreaming of the next.

My passport is my most loved and prized possession! Every stamp and Visa has amazing memories and experiences attached to them. I wouldn't have my partner or beautiful babies if I hadn't jumped on that one way flight to the UK 14 years ago. Never want to stop seeing the world! 💖

Lisa Corduff added 3 new photos.

So, footy season is underway in Victoria and I’m the mum who realised a little too late! I blame being new to the state 😂

Snuck my boy in a week late and his first training was tonight. He loved it.

The three year old was in her pyjamas (or ‘fajamas’ as she calls them) and the five year old stripped off her school stockings and ran around bare feet (such a Brisbane thing to do!) until I asked her to put shoes on... which were big black boots....🤔

I didn’t brush my hair this morning and the boy wasn’t in regulation attire.

And do you know how much I cared?

Because really, there’s more important things!

Like what to eat as soon as the hungry hoards get home. Of course.

I cooked delicious sausages and boiled some corn and cut capsicum, cucumber, carrot and avocado for a veggie plate while they were showering and getting into fajamas....again!

Mostly all eaten. And yes we have sauce with sausages!

I always ask that the kids have a certain number of different things. Tonight it was three different choices from the veggie plate. They have the ultimate choice in what they put on their plate, within parameters that feel good to me.

Works a treat!

I feel like this is the first of many many AFL seasons for our family....

Are you a footy family?

You know I’m a footy girl at heart, but I have such fond memories of going to Tim’s Auskick in a Sunday morning when we were kids and running around (as annoying big sister) collecting balls while Dad was goal umpire or doing whatever he was charged to do helping out. 😍

He was soooooo excited unfortunately they didn't win but my heart pretty much exploded watching him have so much fun out there and get amongst it all and have a few really good kicks ❤️❤️

I soooooooo hope my boy is a footballer! My eldest (now miss 9) tried Auskick for a year and loved it, but is now a basketballer. Mr 5 is not showing any interest in sports whatsoever, despite me trying my hardest!!

Oh Melbourne Melbourne MELBOURNE and your delightful winteriness!

How I have missed boots and scarves and beanies and gloves and big winter jackets and crisp air and ridiculously cold days where you want to stay tucked up in bed.

I have missed the changing of seasons.

I have missed how good soup can be on a cold day.

I have missed red noses and involuntary snot on those icy mornings.

Gee I’m sure I’ll regret saying these words come August but MAN I’m glad to be home for a Melbourne winter.

Bring it!

But first I need slippers. Five years in Brisbane and a good pair of socks covered it. How intense do they need to be? Full Boot uggs? Or just ‘slipper’ slippers?

Do you love or loathe winter?

PS pretty happy with my boots.

Love those winter days, when you don't need to go out. When it's raining and you can stay inside, by the fire, in your comfy winter clothes. Love the winter fashion as well, scarves, knits and boots.

I’ve just chuckled at your enthusiasm. We’ve just moved to Melbourne from Adelaide and it is so much colder and here... and you are loving it! Thank you. I think you’ll need ugg boots but thank you for reminding me of all the positives to warming up with layers!!
