What We’re talking about

Here’s my thumbs up to teachers.

I’ve had my kids Prep and Grade Two Information Nights the past two nights and am blown away by the creativity, drive and commitment the teachers have.

It’s a big deal sending your kids off to school to hang out with another adult and a bunch of kids. What’s ridiculously reassuring is when that other adult is as passionate about the wellbeing of your child as you’d be in those school hours.

Hats off to teachers for doing one of the most important jobs around.

Who else thinks teachers ROCK???

💕 Hours and hours of over time and we don’t get paid any extra. Luckily I love my job!

100% and the rest! My daughters teacher dropped a meal off at our house over the weekend after hearing that I had 2 slipped discs in my neck (don’t want to imagine the stories my daughter told her 😳) so not only do they educate and nurture our children but support the whole family and be an incredible role model for all of us xx

I’m a teacher, yet my heart is with American teachers right now. Our wonderful teachers might be pouring over resources and having late nights but we are so lucky. How incredible to think our colleagues across the water are fronting up to school this week amidst fear and chaos bubbling over, and teaching. It is so surreal to me. Teachers are a special kind, if I don’t say so myself!

I am a teacher and have been for about 15 years. Thanks so much for the support. It’s a job that you wouldn’t do unless you truly loved it.

One year off finishing my Bachelor of Education, it's taken 6 years so far (part time). Study is so hard with a toddler, but I am so excited to be done soon!

I am going so grey, it’s quite obvious, and am embracing it to be honest. I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m coming around to realising it’s not a negative thing for me!!!! And it’s where I am in life.......

I have always coloured my hair darker and am going grey/white. Have not coloured since September and actually like the results. My hair looks lighter and the whites are blending in more. I’m going to leave it and see what happens 🙂

Maintaining youth for looks sake isn’t the goal. Visible signs of ageing also point to things deteriorating on the inside and that’s not a good thing. For me, slowing ageing isn’t about the look so much but more maintaining and improving health.

I stopped dyeing my hair when I was pregnant with my son (2008) knowing I was going to be a single mum and wasn't sure I could keep up with the schedule of dyeing it. But mostly because I really wanted to know what my true hair colour was and I haven't felt the need to do it again since.

I'm definitely going grey even my boys both said mum your going grey !!! I thought about dying it aged 46 but I met an aquaintance last year at the park and told her how I felt. She's been grey since her 30s and loves her grey hair. She said it's me it's who I am, I'm not worried or ashamed. I love my grey hair!!! So now someone asks me aren't u going to dye your grey hair. 😍
