Such a simple swap. But so hard for so many people. Not sure about you, but I grew up in the low-fat era. I grew up thinking fat made me fat.
And so it was. The lie was revealed to me!
If you’re serious about your health and you really want to embrace wholefoods eating then you MUST incorporate fat back into your diet.
Here’s why it’s better:
Low-fat products have been tampered with – they’re certainly not whole. They are often not as easily digestible because of this. And they certainly don’t fill you up like the full fat versions do.
Fat is satiating. Fat feeds our brains and hormones and so so so much more. Our bodies need it and do so well on it.
Here’s where I found it:
You don’t have to look far for the full fat versions of the low-fat products you buy. Whenever you can – choose full fat. Coconut milk and cream is a great example – why should the fat be taken out of that?! I don’t understand…
Here’s how I use it:
I now add good fats to every single meal I eat. Every meal. I do it for my kids too.
