What We’re talking about

Lisa Corduff added 5 new photos.

My day with shingles .....

Woke up, showered and even washed my hair.

Went to get a blood test (HATE THEM) at 8am.

Got home and Nick was on the school run.

Took the opportunity in a quiet house to do a FB Live inside the Membership. (Filling up time by DOING.....)

Then went to the post office with my daughters to buy a bajillion envelopes for the stationery orders.

Stopped at a cafe for a coffee and the three year old got her photographer on (“mummy make a sad face”)

Came home and printed out packing slips and address stickers.

Took daughters to a play date at a new friends house. Stayed way too long (was over excited with the awesome company and didn’t shut my mouth.....)

Came home - posted on FB about having an afternoon sleep.

In fact lay in bed checking social media and work stuff (same/same!) and stressing about whether I was going to get all these stationery packs back to the post office by 5pm.

Start working on the packs. It takes ages. And I’m still double checking orders at 4:30pm.

All hell breaks loose at home as the eldest and youngest have a screaming match over a paper aeroplane. #goodtimes

Cannot get everyone into the car so need to go on my own and take three boxes and one bag full of envelopes to the post office by myself.

Ask the universe to have mercy on me (by this time I’m shaking) and give me a park out the front.

And there was. You ask, you receive - thank you parking angels 👼

Make Post Office peeps cranky with my bajillion orders that they have to scan through super quick so the van that is waiting outside can take them.

Fill out the international order envelopes, leave the PO, come home, lie on a spare mattress downstairs because our room is a sauna and have my beautiful daughters draw me pictures.

Write this post on Facebook to share that I am not as better as I thought I was and in full acknowledgment of the fact that my body needs slow slow slow.

Which I find hard but am using this opportunity to embrace what it means on a completely new level. I really have no choice.

My mum has been here the past few days being the complete goddess that she is Nick is totally on board.

It’s me that finds this hard.

My call out to you (and me) —- IF YOU NEED TO REST, I know it’s hard, BUT REST!

I really am going to now. 💕💗

PS I think I need an Amazon Store to send for me......!

Arabella DalyListen to your body! It has taken me 5yrs with ms to start to do so, if I don't I end up in hospital and able to do much less for much longer, but having said that it is so hard to slow down when it is 'only' your own health!

Kellie DickasonAlthough I stay up too late and am like a zombie all day, I get so nauseous if I sleep in the day. I wake up feeling hungover and it doesn't go away until I go to bed for the night so I'm worse off with a nap.

Sherron WrayIf your a busy person that doesn't stop all day & get the chance to do it I say & do if I feel tired. Refreshes you physically. Sometimes I just lay down for a while & don't sleep. Our bodies sometimes need it in our very busy lives. Can assist with immunity as well. 🌲🌻🌲

Helen SimpsonAbsolutely. When I can an hour of power and I’m back into it. I have been known to sleep in cinemas while watching a movie with the kids. Some days I’m happy to pay to sleep 😀

Tanya FrenchI was having a few rough nights sleeps so I was wanting a day sleep but on those days I had the day sleep I couldn’t get to bed before midnight! It was a vicious cycle.

Elizabeth MillsI have slept for the past two days straight, granted I was very sick but I can normally still do a day nap here and there when I can.

Helena DenleySome days I do - and I really love it. The better solution for me would be to go to bed earlier. Not sure why it’s so hard to do that.
